His extensive involvement in national development extends to critical governmental bodies like the board of the National Compliance and Regulatory Authority (NCRA) within the Ministry of Investment Industry and Commerce where he serves as Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee, the Procurement Review Board at the Ministry of Finance, and a member of the Customs Quality Assurance Committee led by the Jamaica Customs Agency, highlighting his influence in policy shaping and public service.

Alia Wedderburn
Alia Wedderburn is an esteemed authority in the cosmetology industry, recognized for her exceptional commitment to quality and creativity. As the Head of the School of Aesthetics and Cosmetology at the Excelsior Community College, she is passionate about developing the beauty and wellness industry.
Alia has received numerous accolades for her work as a student and practitioner and represented Jamaica in various TVET forums worldwide. She holds a B.Ed. in Applied Technology (Hons.) from the Vocational Training & Development Institute and an MA in Leadership in TVET and Workforce Development from the University of the West Indies. Currently, she is pursuing an MPhil/PhD in Gender and Development Studies, which underscores her commitment to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability in the cosmetology industry.

Gena-Marie Waugh is Baby Thrift’s Chief Executive Officer and Head Mom In Charge. She has years of experience in sales, business development and ecommerce not to mention her highest accolade of over 15 years of mommying.
Baby Thrift is a trusted marketplace for families to shop and sell high-quality, pre-owned baby gear. The company first entered the Jamaican market in November 2023 as the first of its kind. Today, Baby Thrift has sold over 500 baby gears, has had over 200 sellers and has built a community of over 4000 parents island-wide, which continues to grow daily. Baby Thrift continues to make its mark in the territory by providing economic and sustainable parenting solutions, while revolutionizing the discourse of thrift in Jamaica.
